The Plough is licensed to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies and we can we cater for weddings large and small in our beautiful barn.

Had a fabulous meal, food was amazing, good value for money, excellent service can't fault anything. Daisy our waitress was attentive and polite. Would definitely recommend.

Booked the Plough inn to host my Grandmother’s 90th birthday celebration with a party of 11. The staff members gave excellent service and were really helpful. The food was brought out altogether and everyone enjoyed their meal, it made the day even better!

Food was incredible, decent sized potions. I couldn’t finish my plate due to the quantity. Took my mum for her birthday. We had olives and the trio of dipping breads off the nibbles menu to share, my mum had the steak and ale pie, and I had the seared tuna steak nicoise. Can’t fault the taste of the food or the portion sizes. We didn’t need starters or desserts. Only downside was the tuna steak was slightly overcooked, so it was a bit chewy around the edges. Still tasted incredible, just could have done with a bit less cooking.

Visited for one of my best friends weddings. The venue was incredibly nice with both functions rooms used being spacious and close proximity to the bar areas whilst being sufficiently sectioned off to the general public. Wedding breakfast/food provided was really tasty and portions were generous. Pricing of the drinks was very reasonable, especially given it was a wedding and most places hike the prices up it appears the plough inn hadn’t. Great place.

We had our amazing wedding day on the 5th of June this year. We first popped over to The Plough Inn, just for a ride out to see where it was exactly, on the 17th of March 2024, and we asked if we could ‘pop’ our heads inside the Oak Barn to have a peek. Oh, my word, what an amazing venue this place is! This was the first venue we went to view, and we both fell in love with it straight away. So much so, that we never visited anywhere else! Our day couldn’t have been any more perfect! The staff are absolutely amazing, they looked after us from the very first day we visited right through to the time everyone went home at the end of our special day. The food was delicious, we gave our guests options of what they wanted to eat, and we only found out on the day of the wedding that one of our guests had just been told that week that they had a dietary issue, which meant he couldn’t have the meal he had originally asked for. The kitchen staff had no problem organising a different meal for our guest to suit his dietary needs at the last minute. Every one of our guests commented on how delicious the food was. All of our guests said that it was an amazing venue and the best wedding they had been to. We would like to thank Jo and Laurie for everything they did, and to all the staff for making our day so perfect. The whole team were nothing short of amazing, they took everything out of our hands so we could relax and enjoy every moment of our day.
