Located in the beautiful rural hamlet of Eaton in the heart of Cheshire and overlooking the Peak District National Park, The Plough Inn offers you the perfect place to eat, drink and stay.

Whether you visit us to eat, have a drink, stay with us or hold your wedding reception here, you will receive a warm welcome and excellent hospitality.

The Plough is licensed to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies and we can we cater for weddings large and small in our beautiful barn.

We recently celebrated our daughter Zoe’s wedding to Joe at The Plough Inn, Eaton, Cheshire, and we cannot praise the venue and team highly enough. From the moment we arrived until the end of the evening, everything was organised to perfection. The food was absolutely excellent, beautifully presented and enjoyed by all of our guests. We received so many compliments about the quality of the meal and the attention to detail. The service throughout the day was outstanding. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that everyone felt welcome and well looked after. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly and stress-free for both the wedding party and our guests. A special thank you to the entire team for helping to make Zoe and Joe’s wedding day so memorable. Their hard work, dedication, and exceptional hospitality played a huge part in creating a truly wonderful celebration. We would highly recommend The Plough Inn to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue with fantastic food, exceptional service, and a team that genuinely cares about making your special day perfect.

We had our wedding at The Plough Inn on May Bank Holiday weekend and we absolutely LOVED our day. Ourselves and our guests enjoyed every minute and from the moment of arrival we just knew we had made the right choice. A huge thank you to all staff - the wedding planning team are experts at what they do, from answering your questions, responding to emails and organising planning meetings in the run up to your day; all the way to the day itself which they run perfectly - leaving you able to enjoy a stress-free relaxed day where you can trust the team and live in the moment. We wanted to be the chilled out go-with-the-flow couple on our wedding day and they made this possible. Forever grateful for that. The kitchen staff create the most beautiful food. From canapés to perfectly cooked beef and the BEST sticky toffee pudding! Even in a heat wave!! The venue itself is stunningly beautiful and their recommended suppliers can be trusted to personalise it to your style. This being said, it’s not a venue that requires loads of expensive decor. It’s so lovely already that simple touches are enough. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Plough as a wedding venue or venue for any special occasion. Our guests loved our day as much as we did and many remarked that the staff were brilliantly attentive and lovely. Many of them are planning to return for a meal because they enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much. If you are looking for your venue - it’s here!!

We have just had our wedding at the Plough and cant rate it high enough. Nothing was any trouble, they looked after us so we'll...in the run up and on the day. The wedding planners were excellent, walked us through the process as answered questions quickly. We were very impressed. The catering was of a high standard, the Barn an excellent venue and so accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable..the beds especially so. The Loft is a brilliant addition and fully furnished for the best wedding prep area. Everyone commented on the venue and we would definitely choose this again...perfect Thanks so much Jo and Team x

We had our wedding at the end of March 2026 at The Plough Inn, and we are so glad we chose it. Everything ran seamlessly from start to finish, and we could tell straight away how experienced the team was, we had complete confidence in them throughout the entire day. The staff were incredible. They were warm, organised, and clearly cared about making the day perfect for us. They even looked after our unsettled dog during the ceremony, which meant so much. Daisy and Hugo were especially lovely when we spoke to them at the end of the night, so friendly and chatty. The whole team seemed genuinely happy to be there, and we’re truly grateful for how hard everyone worked. The food and drink were fantastic. The wedding breakfast was delicious - we chose the pork, and so many of our guests commented on how much they loved it. Service was efficient, and there was never a wait at the bar for drinks, which all our guests appreciated. The venue and accommodation were perfect. Everything ran on time, the atmosphere was beautiful, and all our guests loved the space. The hotel rooms were big, clean, and very comfortable. For everything included, the venue was also very affordable, which was a huge bonus. We had such an amazing day and couldn’t have asked for a better place or a better team. We would highly recommend The Plough Inn to anyone looking for a seamless and genuinely joyful wedding experience ❤️
